Dr. Perbtani was born in Miami, FL and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University (Davie, Florida). Following graduation from medical school, he moved to Gainesville and completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Florida in 2019.  He then completed an 18-month fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at the University of Florida where he focused on minimally invasive interventional endoscopic procedures such as per oral endoscopic myotomy and endoscopic submucosal dissection.

Dr. Perbtani joined Digestive Disease Associates in January 2021. His clinical and professional interest is on the diagnosis and treatment of pancreaticobiliary diseases and advanced therapeutic endoscopy. He specializes in acute and chronic pancreatitis, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), ERCP and cholangioscopy, endoscopic mucosal and submucosal dissection of complex polyps, endoscopic suturing, luminal stenting and gastrointestinal bleeding.
